Allyson McHenry
President


Allyson is a senior studying Nutrition Sciences. She currently works as a head teaching assistant for Organic Chemistry Lab, and also a research assistant for the Dietary Phytochemical and Cardiometabolic Health Laboratory.  Allyson is the Initiations Chair of the Mortar Board Honor Society here at OSU,  and volunteers as an organic chemistry mentor and a Crisis Text Line Counselor. Volunteering for the text line has been what really brought her to MindVersity.

 

She is passionate about providing support, education, and resources to all who may be struggling.  After graduation, she will be taking a gap year to work, and hopes to then attend medical school. 

Sreya Sakhamuru
Vice President

Sreya is a third-year medical anthropology major. She currently work as an STNA at the Laurels of Walden Park and is starting a position as a psychiatric scribe. After graduation she plans to work before applying to medical school and as of now she is aiming to pursue psychiatry! Sreya is also the treasurer of OSU’s Figure Skating Club and the fundraising chair for our branch of the American Medical Women’s Association. She joined MindVersity because of how important mental health awareness is and to contribute to making a supportive and understanding community here at OSU.

Danielle Hassel
Marketing Chair 

Danielle is a junior majoring in biology, and minoring in psychology. She is on the pre-medicine track, and hopes to attend medical school following undergraduate. Her goal is to pursue a career as a Trauma, Critical Care, and Burn Surgeon.

 

Danielle currently works at the Wexner Medical Center as a student assistant in the Department of Surgery. She is also in the Air Force, serving as a member on the medical team.

 
She joined MindVersity to deepen her understanding of the overlooked and underserved. As a board member she wants to help promote mental health equity and break the barriers to access.

Alana Glickman
Social Chair


Alana is a senior at OSU studying psychology with minors in disability studies and substance misuse and addiction. After she graduates, Alana plans to attend graduate school to pursue work in the field of clinical psychology.

 

Her passion for mental health awareness inspired her to strive towards this career path as well as become an active member of MindVersity. Alana is also a part of the club Happy Hearts, as well as the Delta Zeta sorority.

Jason is a fourth-year majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He joined Mindversity out of a passion for spreading mental health awareness and giving back to the Ohio State Community.


Some of his hobbies are hiking, kayaking, fishing. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, watching TV and movies, and playing games with his friends. He also enjoys spending time with his cat Tux.

Hannah Leavitt
Activism Chair

Hannah is a senior at OSU. She is majoring in psychology and double minoring in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies along with Human Development and Family Sciences. She is also involved in Delta Zeta Sorority and Happy Hearts Club here at OSU.


After graduation, Hannah plans on getting her masters degree to become a child and family therapist. She is passionate about mental health as it relates to child development and she loves the message of MindVersity because of its focus on minority groups.

Alana Corrigan

Secretary

Alana is a Senior Health Sciences Major with a Public Health focus and a Minor in Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies! This Summer, she studied abroad in Accra, Ghana to shadow maternal health and family planning physicians and learn about the Ghanaian healthcare system.

 

Currently, she is the Secretary for Mindversity, as well as the President of the American Medical Women’s Association at OSU and a Research Assistant at Remington-Davis Clinical Research.

 

She would love to move out of Columbus after graduation to find a job in Health Sciences and possibly pursue her MPH. Alana joined Mindversity because it is so important to have a solid knowledge of mental health issues, specifically to understand how marginalized communities are effected differently.

Kelsey Travis 

Founder 

Kelsey Travis is a first-year PsyD graduate student at Pacific University who founded our branch at Ohio State in 2020 before graduating from Ohio State with a bachelor's degree is Psychology in Spring 2022.

​

Kelsey hopes to specialize in treating addiction disorders, PTSD, and anxiety disorders.

Dr. Laurence Coutellier

  Faculty Advisor

Laurence Coutellier, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in Psychology and Neuroscience. She specializes in behavioral neuroscience and studies the effects of stress on brain circuits that regulate emotional behaviors. Using mice models, Dr. Coutellier aims at unraveling some of the mechanisms by which stress can lead to mood disorders, including anxiety and depression.
